WHY MOON’S ONLY ONE SIDE IS VISIBLE?
Have you ever wondered that why we
always see only one side of the moon’s face irrespective of its different
phases whether full or half crescent or gibbous only the same side of the
moon is visible.
We know that the different phases of
the moon is due to its revolution around earth and simultaneously moon rotates
on its own axis as well, so what deprives us from admiring the unseen beauty of
the other side of the moon?
The answer to this is that the moon
revolves around the earth in around 28 days and rotates around its axis in the
same number of days i.e. 28 days. Due to moon’s exact revolution and rotation
duration ratio 1:1 only one side of the moon is visible from earth and this
phenomenon is called tidal lock.
On the other hand the earth takes
365 days for one revolution around sun and only 24 hours for one rotation hence
does not form tidal lock with sun and all the spherical parts of the earth
faces the sun.
The tidal locking which is result of
gravitational forces is the reason we never get to see and will never see the
other far side of the moon from earth.

STRANGE CAT HYBRIDS
The idea of a hybrid animal is nothing new in bio-science with mule being one of the best examples of a successful hybrid animal. In the recent years many successful and unsuccessful experiments have been carried out in the field of crossbreeding of animals.
A crossbreed experiment can be carried out between a male and a female of same genes but different species. The cases of successful hybrids have been quite a few but among the list of those hybrids Ligers and Tigons have been the most interesting ones.
Liger is said to be the biggest cat known so far, a liger is a cross breed between a male lion and a female tiger and they inherit characteristics of both tiger and lion. Ligers love swimming like tigers so which loins hate and their size matches with the lions.
It is found that most of the male ligers are infertile but in some cases male ligers have been fully healthy and fertile on the other hand female ligers are often fertile.
A Tigon on the other hand is a cross breed between a male tiger and a female lion. The mane of male Tigen is shorter than a lion and so is the size of Tigon much smaller than their liger counterparts.
